Kid’s Bike Tracks
On this page, we will be sharing the kid’s tracks and pump tracks that we have enjoyed in Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
Queen Elizabeth Country Park
Petersfield
The Tracks: Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Petersfield is one of the best places in Hampshire for mountain bike riders and you will find something for every member of the cycling family. Behind the visitor centre, you will find the Tots Pump Track, ideal for scooters, balance bikes and bike riders up to 1.4 metres tall. Further into the park beside the Benhem’s car park, you will find the more challenging Mini Wheels Skills Area for older children - a perfect training area before they try their first proper run.
Other features: Queen Elizabeth Country Park also has a cafe, snack kiosk, toilets, picnic areas, play areas, assault course, woodland walks and bbq/pizza oven hire.
Getting there: Just off the A3 south of Petersfield, PO8 0QE, ///cracking.claps.firelight, parking charged on exit.
Hartland Country Park
Farnborough
The Track: In a woodland clearing of this small country park, you will find a completely flat kid’s bike track on compacted fine gravel. There are multiple paths and junctions giving kids the impression they are riding on roads. Benches around the edges mean grown ups can sit and watch under the shade of the trees.
Other features: There are easy woodland walks, picnic area, coffee van and a play area within the park.
Getting there: Free car park off Bramshott Lane, GU14 0FB, ///pipe.island.commoners.
Swanmore Pump Track
near Southampton
