Easy walks for the whole family
Hampshire Surrey West Sussex
Chilton Candover
The Yard is a destination café in the heart of the Candover Valley. There is the Moon Roast coffee roastery, a Bon and Rose Gelato hatch, a sauna, a play area, a poetry trail and even a buried church. Our route takes in some of the surrounding farmland with views of the valley, as well as a small section of woodland.
Devil’s Punchbowl
Just a short hop from the A3 at Hindhead is this spectacular location. Managed by The National Trust, there is plenty to do with a café, nearby pub, picnic benches, miles of pathways and views that go on for miles.
Winchester
Leave plenty of time for this walk beside the River Itchen as there is a wealth of diversions on route including St Catherine’s Hill, Hockley Viaduct, Hospital of St. Cross, Wolvesey Castle, Winchester City Mill and Winchester Cathedral.
Kingsley Common
Kingsley boasts a rather large and beautiful village pond that is hidden from the road. Beyond this is a sandy common dotted with gnarly oaks and coated in purple heather.
Hogmoor Inclosure
If you have never spent an afternoon at this amazing park in Bordon, then you really should. It has to have one of the very best play areas in Hampshire as well as easy sandy trails to explore through woodland.
Every Ambling Path walk has a stand out feature that children will love including magnificent play areas, shallow rivers for paddling, epic country parks and ancient ruins to explore.
