The jewel in the crown of the ancient market town of Petersfield, the Heath and The Pond have long been popular with families looking for an easy stroll with plenty to keep the children entertained including a play area, café and rowing boats.
The Route
This is a self explanatory walk. Starting from the car park, there is an obvious path where you can chose to go clockwise or anticlockwise around the pond. Our advice is anti-clockwise so that you are almost finished when you get to the play area/toilets/café/picnic tables. Rowing boats are available to hire Friday to Sunday 10-4)
The final section back to the car park will then be over some boardwalks parallel to the road.
Did you know?
Petersfield Heath is the site of the annual Taro Fair, which is held on 6 October every year (unless a Sunday). This was originally a horse fair but is now a large fun fair with many sideshows.
If you enjoyed this walk…
